  Watched the North American Restoration Premiere. Enjoyed the tender moments of a father feeding his piglets (very Chaplin/Mr. Bean-like) while also feeling the pain and remorse the farmer excreted quite noisily after the death of his beloved. Found myself repeatedly gazing upon the landscape and the once great buildings that made up this now dilapidated farm and wondering who used to own it(?); along with being puzzled about the numerous antiquated tools and equipment I was unfamiliar with.   Hadn’t seen in such a long time; all the child actors who were much older than me are now just a bunch of little kids but the movie is still very endearing to watch. Hearing it at the Long Center’s Dell Hall with live orchestration of John William’s soundtrack reminded me not only how great this movie is but the soundtrack completely conveys the excitement and mystique the viewer feels while watching scenes unfold.
