This was such a nuanced and phenomal portrayal of grief, coping and complex sibling dynamics as it fleshed out the idea of loss of a parent while navigating how shared grief can bring family closer. Words, symbols, or metaphors often fall short, becoming mere approximations or stories we tell ourselves to make sense of something we can’t really touch or fully understand. But absence, in its emptiness, truly embodies the impact of a person in our lives as it is ultimately the purest language of loss.
