  The form of Birdman and the function of a musician biopic, with the frantic energy of the former winning out over the self-aggrandizing tendencies of the latter. Hard not to get swept up in the fun of it all. Brilliant casting for the most part.

  “God, Reg, I love your head.”

  Aw man, not another actionized sequel to a beloved horror movie. Phantasm was eerie, uncanny, and actually about something. It might have been all a dream! How does a follow-up even work?
