I liked a lot of it, I enjoyed all of it, I don't know if I loved any of it. Sam Wilson is struggling to fill the shoes of Steve Rogers, but it sometimes feels like Anthony Mackie is struggling to fill the shoes of Chris Evans. Wish the political thriller aspects went harder. The Serpent Society is interesting but barely connects to the Leader/Red Hulk plot line. The action scenes are good and I love Harrison Ford. It's bogged down in transition and it's story isn't clean enough. I liked it for what it was, but it doesn't rise to the level of prior installments.

Solid movie, and the plotting/pacing intrigue. The characterizations are a bit of a let down: vague in motivation and no creative decisions. One of those movies where the very premise is depressing to me, but it pulls some interesting things out of the situation. A fun little thriller, but less depth than I wanted.

Creepy and spooky, it carried the atmospheric tension from the opening scare through the final sequence. What’s a hot dad and his troubled daughters to do? Fight an incredibly upsetting monster that is used to great effect throughout the film. The metaphor was clunky and not everything worked, but the actors were committed to the bit.

This movie can only be described as “epic” and it lives up to the name. It didn’t feel its three and a half hour length, although I was grateful for the intermission. It offers a strong critique of greedy capitalism while portraying the valiant struggle of building a legacy. I loved the performances. The pacing worked. The villain was very upsetting. Leaving the past behind is hard, but building a new future is harder.
My only criticism is that I didn’t learn anything about brutalism.
