Really funny that the MacGuffin here is microprocessors, apparently only useful for guiding missiles. Like going back to the 30s and the mafia are flogging TVs for $20k a pop, which they think might be useful for watching a recording of your favourite play.

Conclave 2024
It’s a great film about faith, and a great film about responsibility. It manages to restrain itself in the first half, but I think it loses it a bit by the end, and feels a bit ham-fisted. I also wish it endowed us with a better sense of the importance of their decision in the modern world, but perhaps it doesn’t because it can’t. Fiennes is perfect, exactly subtle enough and always concerned, and his character is fascinating enough to hold the whole thing together.
