Unfortunately this movie is pretty bad. Every line of dialogue was either expository or for the trailer. Not a single likable character. Mildly entertaining, but objectively bad.

Do people actually enjoy this movie? Completely excruciating to get through.

This felt like it was written by a third grader. I get it’s supposed to be satirical, but it just ends up being exactly what it’s supposed to be a message against. Jack, the proposed bumbling American idiot, meant to represent the American hero stereotype in a more truthful manner, ends up becoming the only redeemable part of this movie. Dreadfully boring, dialogue seemingly written by George Lucas, and soap-opera acting. What does it want to be? Comedy? Action? Fantasy? The only thing I can say for certain, is that it sucks.

Why is it trendy to dislike this movie?

If you dislike this movie and your opinion contains the words “papyrus,” or “Pocahontas,” you’re probably insufferable and no one likes you because you’ve never liked anything or had an original opinion. However, if you dislike this movie and suggest words like “boring,” or “long,” you would have a valid point. I, at large, would disagree, but I would take pity on your iPad-rotted smooth brain.
