  First impression:
  That was really stupid.

  Slightly more nuanced view:
  Venom 3 is the perfect closer to the Venom trilogy in that it's dumber than the first two, just as poorly paced and confusing as the first, and even more pointlessly violent than the second. My favorite thing about this movie is the way it ends: with an honest-to-god sad music slow-mo montage interspersed with clips from the previous two movies, in what I assume is an attempt to cash…

  It's a comedy with feminist themes. It's not revolutionary by any stretch but it is entertaining for what it is. I had a good time, even though my weird misogynist kid brother kept physically cringing any time the word "patriarchy" was mentioned. Main takeaway from this movie is that it's not really very incisive, but insecure men will probably hate it anyway. Also it's funny.

  I'm not sure if this movie has a message behind it other than somewhat vague "humans are better than we give them credit for" narratives towards the end that then are undermined by the actual ending. But I won't pretend that I really care about the messaging of a superhero movie, because the real point of the movie is watching Heath Ledger kill it so hard as the Joker that he redefined the character. I guess Christian Bale is there too
