I loved the original. It was truly horrifying and stayed with me for so very long.
I would have likely appreciated this remake more if I didn’t have such high expectations.
A lot of the changes they made were handled really well and didn’t take away from the shocking horror of the original. But the ending….it was way too tame to measure up.

Honk for Jesus. Save Your Soul. 2022
For someone who is slowly undergoing a process of deconstruction, this served up a plate of trauma triggers in every scene. It is very well done, thought provoking, and the acting is top notch, obviously. But, I did have to watch it in three or four parts because it was so triggering and hard to get through for me.
