One thing is for sure, Vittorio De Sica is a master of national feel, whether it be satirical comedy or gut wrenching realism, he always sends the message out of the park. Sophia Loren and Marcello Mastroianni play in three different stories, and each one is both laugh out loud hilarious and intriguing playful drama. Much more the performances and stories here, technically you can’t miss with Italy in the sixties stuff easily looks pretty decent.

“Remember that you are a Kelly.”

Finally got around to this film, it’s been top 10 on my priority watchlist for years and boy did it not disappoint. Justin Kurzel has a knack for authentic more audiovisual centered films, this one recounting the story of Ned Kelly in a homoerotic punk rock artsy way is perhaps his most untethered. George MacKay as Ned Kelly and Orlando Schwerdt as young Ned Kelly deliver powerhouse performances, technically great as well per usual from Kurzel and his brother composing. I’d describe this film simply as a wonderful oddball.

    He did it.

This film was perfect, and for damn sure there’s not another thing like it. It’s a beast, soul pounding cinema. With the most sincere respect to the source material, Villeneuve gives a biblically sized epic that feels real, as amazing as the story is thanks to Villeneuve’s direction, Fraser and Zimmer’s work completes it to  make this one of the most beautiful and riveting pieces of media ever assembled, must see on the largest screen possible! Can’t…
