A death game movie based on the song Noushou Sakuretsu Girl by rerulili (It actually managed to incorporate a lot of what the song is about I was surprised).

I love how Ito uses the camera and stop-motion to make environments feel more 3-dimensional than they do in reality, and how that can make them feel more or less alive. In this instance this massive building is almost like a small diorama that he just picks up and rotates while still looking gigantic.
This largely doesn't have anything to do with the original poem (outside of occasionally hearing someone narrate it) and it's not any where near as fantastic or whimsical as the poem. Most of the movie is just a guy bumbling around a relatively normal medieval town.
Once we eventually get to see the Jabberwocky it's a really impressive costume though, and I wish we got to see it more.
