It's not super deep, it definitely could go much heavier, but I don't think this film is really trying to go further and coming up short, I think it fulfilled exactly what it wants to do.

Jordan Peele bites off quite a bit more than he can chew in this film, in my opinion. He's just tackling a lot of different threads that end up going really nowhere, and with little cohesion. Short version of my review, this is exceptional.

Long version, where do I even start? Normally I would start with film elements so I'll do that, there is so much genius interplay between them.

Sounds design compliments the film brilliantly with creaking hinge sounds at the beginning when limbs would move. The constant whispering in the final scene is amazing. Cutting every time a sound is heard is so cool.

The film masterfully switches beautifully between black and white, color,…
