Black Bag 2025
Black Bag is an excellent cut-and-dry spy thriller that returns Soderberg to his Ocean's-esque roots. Matched by David Koepp's exceptional dialogue and outstanding performances, particularly by Fassbender and Blanchett, Black Bag is an exciting thrill ride that maintains steam through its perfect hour-and-a-half runtime.

The Monkey 2025
The Monkey is the definition of dark comedy. The movie is hilarious, with great practical effects, deaths, and production.
However, aside from a solid exposition, the film is more flash in the pan that completely hits a wall during its second and third acts.
The Monkey’s lack of character development and basic plot drags the film down to something more done for cheap laughs than making an impact.

Presence 2024
The camera work in Presence is incredible, and the classical score seals the film's overall aesthetic.
It’s nice seeing Soderberg's less sinister (and conventional) take on the horror genre, supported by an excellent dad-and-daughter performance from Chris Sullivan and Callina Liang.
Presence doesn’t overstay its welcome, though it’s a bit simplistic in its execution and has some muddied character motivations.

Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl 2024
I loved seeing how Aardman upped the production for what a 2024 Wallace and Gromit should look and feel like. The film is stunning, and the nightmare fuel design on the Norbots was absolutely terrifying.
Overall, the joke delivery is 10/10, and the film’s 122-minute runtime ensures AVMF never outstays its welcome. It’s hard to want anything more from a W & G film.
Afterthought: Big props to Ben Whitehead in his first major feature as Wallace, who sounds as close to Peter Sallis as you will get.
