Starts off well, with some great performances and a neat take on a horror movie distilled purely down to a battle of wits. Compelling, but eventually flattens and narrows into a Saw by the way of 2 dumb Redditors telling each other “Exactlyyyyy.”

Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga 2024
For a story about a vast, empty Wasteland, it’s got an abundance of stuff. Plenty of weird little guys, explosions, car stunts, oddball names, loving winks at other cult cinema - which is fun - but it’s overstuffed as a result. It’s the opposite of the sleek, aerodynamic V8 interceptor of its predecessor: Furiosa is crowded to the point of feeling muddled and drags through its overlong middle.
