  Just lacks the magic of the first one, everyone introduced other than anxiety doesn’t do anything, and overall felt unnecessary, but also this movie made more money than the last like five original films from the studio combined (for which I think I’ve seen one, and saw it streaming) so they clearly understand the interests of their audience

  I think it’s fine to be happy for one of the all time greats to finally get to make his dream project, and praise him for his willingness to put his all into something so late in his life. That’s all fine, but it’s also fine to say the film is mostly a mess, largely incoherent and no two people ever feel like they’re on the same page when acting together

  Has more flaws than some of the other greats of the decade, the second half especially, but there’s still so much to love. Brody and Pearce are immense, it looks incredible, and is one of my favorite in theater experiences of the decade.
