“My sincere appreciation to the members of my staff whose loyalty and creative endeavor made possible this production”- Walt Disney, opening credits to Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

It’s so telling to the degree in which our current culture is so unappreciative of classical art. The zombified ghoulcorp that’s been churning out hideous remakes for the last decade gives zero fucks about artistic integrity. It’s lifeblood is your wallet.

The problem isn’t Disney itself, it’s the queen of the…

In Bruges 2: Feckin’ Finger Blues

Probably now my #2 fav Martin McDonagh joint. This little spat and it’s snowball effect is real and relatable. It works great as a metaphor for the greater conflict of The Irish Civil War kicking off in the distance but also conflict in general for mankind.

When I first saw this in theaters I was 13, and a film…

Hey Mickey you’re so mid, you’re so mid but not quite shit, hey Mickey!

This came off about as biting as John Oliver saying “drumpf”. Aren’t we all just so fucking sick of this?

The anti-maga movie is essentially a genre now, which in the current climate feels toothless and inconsequential and in the future will have aged like McChicken mayonnaise. I’m reminded a lot of Don’t Look Up which is generally considered another mark-misser. At least in Don’t Look…
