Also somewhat explains the glazed over look my dad gets talking about Brooklyn in the seventies lol—would love to know other movies that compare in terms of pure grime.

The Brutalist 2024
Felt like an endurance athlete prepping for this. Cup of coffee pre-movie. My comfy loafers. Full water bottle. National popcorn day “bring your own bucket” to cinemark so you know we brought the salad spinner but with all the popcorn in it we couldn’t spin it at first so we were just chompin until we could. Chicken tenders (cinemark never misses with these). Popcorn span 1st time probably 20 min before intermission. I loved intermission it was like when you are at the airport and everyone is standing with their shoes off for a minute
