Cannot get enough of this sci-fi realism or
whatever you call this genre and tone (Arrival, Interstellar, Annihilation, etc.).

I appreciate how this was both so epic (billions and billions of miles) and individual (basically one character) at the same time, but still felt pretty thin. Everyone speaking in the same weird intense whisper doesn’t really change that no one is fleshed out really at all.

Looked great even on a standard def DVD, some cool moments, and I love Pitt in everything, but a little too brooding for me.

Felt like an endurance athlete prepping for this. Cup of coffee pre-movie. My comfy loafers. Full water bottle.  National popcorn day “bring your own bucket” to cinemark so you know we brought the salad spinner but with all the popcorn in it we couldn’t spin it at first so we were just chompin until we could. Chicken tenders (cinemark never misses with these). Popcorn span 1st time probably 20 min before intermission. I loved intermission it was like when you are at the airport and everyone is standing with their shoes off for a minute
