  Difficult to believe this came out in 1997, since it looks better than Dune 2 from last year. Its politics are more timely, too. And Amy Smart is in this for about half a minute.

  I liked the idea behind it, but it was pretty sloppy. The characters' motivations were bizarre and opaque, and large swaths of the plot didn't make sense. Good ending, though. Seems to me that horror movies are becoming like pornography: dispensing with story and concentrating on the money shot.
