  My mind wants to nitpick the timeline of certain songs, but that's on me. A dumb fun romp with TONS of cameos that certainly helps having knowledge of the time's (pre-1985) music and pop culture as well as popular music biopics. Intercontinental champion? BAH!

  Just OK?
  A means to an end?
  They needed to close the loop on this character due to the tragic passing of Chadwick Boseman but this did not get me excited for any of the new characters or new roles introduced here. Dominique Thorne was a breath of fresh air here.

  Boiler plate slasher film on an non-existent budget filled with many songs (trying to be a musical) cobbled together from Super 8 and VHS rehearsal footage. Some of the death props look great, even 30 plus years on and some fun recurring gags.

  Watching the films of Mark Pirro for my podcast after falling in love with the negative budget 'Polish Vampire in Burbank' last year. This is a much high budget but maybe a step above Troma, but a baby step. All of Pirro's tropes from the previous film are here and some can say there are bits from the Running Man, UHF, Fargo and the idea of building a cinematic universe are taken from this. No, really!
