  I love the premise and the acting was excellent but I wish it'd stuck with the faux documentary/found master video tape angle. I felt myself being taken out of the film every time they went to a "commerical" and switched to more traditional filmmaking. That they dropped the premise completely for the ending kind of made me wonder why'd they'd not just made a traditional film to begin with. There was a lot of potential in it being a better…

  Behind The Sightings 2021

  There was a lot they could've done with a film based on those silly clown sightings a few years back but Behind the Sightings did none of it. What we did get was a lot of bickering between a married couple, a bunch of nonsensical behavior, and scares that are trite and not interesting.

  I can't recommend it.

  We, as a culture, did not deserve Black Devil Doll but I am glad that the movie gods blessed us with it regardless. This is a story about a brave doll trying to find himself in a cruel, unfeeling world. Looking for love in all the wrong places, and unsure how to express his own love and emotions, he lashes out, sometimes unfairly, at the women around him. It is a tragic but beautiful story.
