  It was fascinating to watch this film again, about 15 years after I saw it for the first time. It is amazing to me (and it says something about the culture I was steeped in at the time) that I recalled that this movie was about a straight woman falling in love with a lesbian.   I found Illegally Yours in a VHS bargain bin in high school and became strangely obsessed with it. A lot of movies are bad (poorly plotted, boring, unfunny, etc.) but this one crossed over into being so bad that it was completely fascinating. Why the castle? Why the absurdly stereotypical Canadian accent? Why this movie cover? Why Rob Lowe? How did this happen?
