favourites are my top 4 films from last month.
When Quentin Tarantino discussed the reasons for his eventual retirement, he said “I don't want to become this old man who's out of touch“. It seems these fears are being realised through Ridley Scott. At 85 years old, Ridley Scott’s Napoleon shows an unwillingness to change and adapt his style. For a man who so clearly loves historical epics, Scott’s Napoleon fails to deliver on both the “historical” and the “epic”.

Killers of the Flower Moon is an absolute behemoth of filmmaking, holding you captive for three and a half hours as it explores this important piece of untold American history.
The film is largely structured around Leonardo DiCaprio’s Ernest Burkhart, a greedy, bumbling fool. Ernest Burkhart is married to Mollie Burkhart, whose family is victimised by the murderous attacks of Burkhart’s family. The story might not be anything new or groundbreaking, but it's done in such a heartfelt and sincere way that it would be hard not to love this.
She's everything. He's just Mickey.
Mannn, that was quite a mixed bag. Bong Joon Ho is such a fantastic director. There's so many clever bits of directing, fun visual gags, and impressively shot scenes throughout this and it's a super engaging film. Sadly, it's just ends up being quite weak entry into Bong Joon Ho's catalogue.
Honestly, the most glaring problem with this film is the dialogue. I don't know what it is but it all sounds so unnatural. Even…
