  I get that he’s a sociopath, and I get that Christian Bale did a great job, he really did, but… ugh. Pat Bateman is just not likable.

  That is to say, I understand he’s a bad guy, but Bad characters can be likable. Hannibal, Saruman, Gollum, all excellent characters with excellent backstories, and two of them eat people.

  Objectively? It's incredibly average, the camera work and writing is meh and the editing is not great at all. Like it's very very bad.
  Subjectively? I do not care about a single character, nothing matters to me personally, every subsequent scene has very little to do with the previous and I am having a truly terrible time.
