  This is the first star rating I've given in over a year. I'm still not huge on them. It might very well be the only one I ever give out. But for as much as attached some sort of numerical value to a film feels like an entirely pointless that for me often tends to detract from the viewing experience, it just felt right here. There is no doubt in my mind that Yi Yi is perfect.

  The one and only time I will actually agree that yes, You’re not the same person once the film has finished. Still sick of that bullshit showing up everywhere but I guess if you put enough movies on that list it'll strike true eventually. House is wonderfully unrestrained madness at its finest, "fever dream" doesn't even really do it justice.
