I remember going into Parasite waiting for the sci-fi twist and needing to really shift my energy when I realized it wasn’t going to be The Host. Same thing happened here but in reverse: expected something like a comedic The Martian and turned out to be Nausicaa! You just never know what you’re gonna get.
A few segments/plots felt…off but I’m happy filmmakers got the memo that too many folks took the wrong message from Starship Troopers.
