  Beautiful and terrifying in ways that can only come from contemplating just how BIG deep space might be.

  I love a big swing. I love Christopher Nolan for taking a big swing. And damn I love science fiction.

  I’m conflicted. Kate Winslet doesn’t know how to be anything less than riveting onscreen. There are a few stand out scenes and the last 20 minutes rewards your time invested, but I’m sad that the rest of the movie feels so flat.

  I need to sit with this one for a little while. 

  I’m very glad I saw it in a theater. There were visual elements I’m not sure I’ve ever experienced before. 

  Adrien Brody is extraordinary.

  The ideas of art and the artist and the envy of someone else’s talent and how that can manifest all rang true to me. It’s an overwhelming depiction of the immigrant experience. 

  I’m just not sure yet if it ALL needed to be there.
