Not gonna be able to capture my big feelings about this movie in a Letterboxd review so I will just say that I went to a lecture about David Lynch once and the lecturer said that one of the through lines of Lynch’s work is that there can never really be a resolution to the darkness in our pasts and the best we can hope for is to be able to observe our trauma with a certain stillness and the picture she used was the blue hair lady from Silencio and I think about that from time to time
