    My underwhelming reaction to this film relates to a confusion of mine of why the "multiverse" concept has been continuously revisited in these recent Spider-Man films. The motion that it has been continuously employed is to navigate the narrative across the spectacle of references and an idealism of the greater comic book canon. This feels fruitless to me and I don't really see why this film is being praised as an exception to the rule.
