I’ve said this since the first time I saw this 10 years ago; it’s the most vanilla Superhero movie out there.
Nothing too good, nothing too bad. Not too serious, not too goofy, not great action, not terrible action. Everything about this is pretty much fine, even Wolverine doesn’t become his full self until X2.

There’s some really cool ideas in this. The way they juxtaposed old Brian and young Brian, the way Brian’s declining mental health is visually expressed, Mike Love’s complex relationship with Brian, the list goes on.
