  Mad Max: Fury Road 2015

  This was the second or third time I watched the film, but it was the first time I saw it on such a big screen and with the atmos audio system. I must say the film was even better in Norris, especially since this movie has amazing visual design and sound design. It is definitely a lot to take in (if I had to describe this film in one word it would be big). The action in this film almost never stops and is incredibly fast-paced. I believe this movie stands out due to its visual design, sound design, and how it subverts tropes.

  Moonlight 2016

  This was my first time watching the entirety of Moonlight. Overall I enjoyed the film.

  It was visually beautiful. Each chapter has a color, and although I'm not quite sure the meaning behind them, you can definitely see it represented throughout its respective chapter. The film also utilized many visual motifs and symbolic shots.

  Although the plot of each story didn't span much time, the movie felt a bit slow. That being said, the acting and story were extremely powerful.
