When watching Get Out for the first time, what I noticed was how the POV circled around to the black perspective throughout the movie. The implicit POV that remains constant is Chris's eyes, which represent his profession as a skilled photographer and the main source of one's perception. What I admire most about what the filmmakers accomplished was how they stirred the same emotions that would evoke a reader. By choosing animated instead of live action, this elevated the playfulness and lightheartedness that was central to expressing the youth Marji embodied in the story.
