Don't Look Up 2021
McKay's latest employs the usual sardonic style of humour, reminiscent of his earlier flicks. But compared to Succession, it lacks a cutting edge, when some scenes leave an abrupt impact, but the incoherence weighs in often as sketches of real life personas by the ensemble cast become a tad too predictable. Talking of sketches, Mark Rylance's portrayal of an eccentric techpreneur stands out, as his idiosyncracies reflect the general sentiment of obliviousness towards an impending doom.
