My mom and I watched this for the first time together. We were both crying by the end of the first scene. My mom continued to talk about this movie for weeks. As always, P&P served

Nosferatu the Vampyre 1979
It’s probably my favorite of any Dracula film adaptation. The music, locations, and imagery are gorgeous. I loved Nosferatu himself. The heavy breathing was a little awkward at times and sorry if this is controversial but Isabelle Adjani was also awkward at times. I had to roll my eyes every time she stretches out her hand when someone walks away.

Black Narcissus 1947
It’s rare to watch a film for the first time and immediately understand it to be one of the best movies ever made. I was floored by Black Narcissus. I was particularly moved by the flashback sequences which contribute so much to the emotional depth. It is packed with mystery, sensuality, and beauty. The matte paintings will make you feel like you are really seeing a secluded mountainside in the Himalayas. Black Narcissus is magic from start to finish and I can’t praise it enough.

Kill Bill: Vol. 1 2003
This movie is untouchable. Frankly I have never seen a movie more deserving of five stars.
