If you want to make a movie depicting fairies as real that's fine but you can't then call it a true story.
I went into this expecting to get a story about how a brilliant mind like Arthur Conan Doyle could be so easily taken in by by spiritualism, mysticism and photos of cardboard cut outs of fairies. This might actually be my favorite version of the Superman origin story. This movie is the three part pilot to "Superman: The Animated Series" and it is a perfect way to begin what is possibly the most faithful version of Superman ever made.
