Is this very good? Not really…
Does it do anything new that a mobster movie hasn’t already done? Nope…
Are the characters developed in any way that goes beyond just repeating facts off of the Wikipedia page about these guys? absolutely not…
Does the plot move along well? Not at all. It’s often as stuck in the mud as the characters are in that one scene where they get stuck in mud.
But any movie where old Italian Americans are…
I wish that the vignettes had been a little less literal in terms of the inclusion of the orb? Like, every time the orb caused human evil or suffering, it did so as a big magical orb…instead of trying to be a metaphor about the recurring evil across space and time, it was just sort of a story about how having that green or around causes a bunch of trouble and makes women very jiggly.
Honestly still had a fun…

Watched this with all my best friends on my 30th birthday. 20 years later the musician fight is still one of the 10 best scenes in all of cinema. This movie will be placed next to me in my grave.
