Most shocking thing was seeing Hector Salamanca speak…

Jokes aside, Requiem is genuinely one of the most unique and brilliantly composed screenplays I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing.

Its style, editing and soundtrack’s reputation proceed it for good reason, this will stay with me for a long time. The build up to the hellhole of addiction of the first hour in particular is perfectly paced.

That said, I’ve now watched this and Adolescence within a 3 day span, and will be on a strict diet of comfort films for the foreseeable future.

Serious delays during production left Carpenter with ample time to polish The Thing up to its finest components. It shows: the films’ attention to detail is amongst the finest I’ve seen. 4 stars because unfortunately I’m shallow enough to deduct a star for shit looking aliens, but everything else is perfect.

dont know what everyone else was watching, this is absolutely shit. a 98 minute attack against the notion of a 'plot', Fallen Angels entails an incomprehensible litany of bullshit scenes and monologues with unidentifiable characters either smoking, acting like a crackhead or acting violently/sexually. im entirely convinced this is a social experiment where viewers pretend one of the worst films of all time is one of the best. i wont be a part of it. the world of film really proves itself time and time again to be one of the most out of touch and pretentious communities around.
