  I saw this just under two months ago and I already forgot what happened it. Robotnik's assistant's conversation with Tails was by far my favorite scene.

  A good core that develops and some good visual moments, but overall the writing and character development were lacking and it was difficult to become sincerely engaged with this film. The directing and editing feel very influenced by modern films and games and lack restraint and texture. Additionally, the insufferable trope of a trite cutesy animal sidekick persists here in an otherwise serious film. Worth the watch if you're interested I guess, but best to go in with tempered expectations.

  For a film about tension and absurdity made by so many talented people I'm disappointed that they didn't lean into those themes harder. What's there is good but also you can't help but sense what it is lacking
