  john mulaney has definitely become a more complex public figure in the past years so I was hesitant going into this- but it was refreshing to hear him openly say “hey i’ve been doing bad things and you should not act the way i’ve been acting”

  definitely a transitionary special, not something that will be quoted and revered like his others- but a nice jovial (& imo, necessary) acknowledgement of his shifting image and recent struggles. made me interested to see what comes next from him, which was likely the goal

  every line jesse plemons performs is just magic I am so obsessed with this guy

  exactly my amount of callback and self-referential humor. just absolutely silly and heartfelt. ricky keeps saying “this was just splendid” and I think he found the perfect word. splendid indeed 

  camerawork was so so so good im obsessed w the dollhouse shots. felt like I was watching myself play It Takes Two at points. just so fun
