  one of the best depictions of a 13-14 year old friendships. I am so glad I was never in some of the situations he was in bc I would have fucked them up even worse than he did

  anyway I dipped my hand into my drink cup bc I thought it was my goldfish cup and then I had beer all over my fingers so that may have colored my experience

  john mulaney has definitely become a more complex public figure in the past years so I was hesitant going into this- but it was refreshing to hear him openly say “hey i’ve been doing bad things and you should not act the way i’ve been acting”

  definitely a transitionary special, not something that will be quoted and revered like his others- but a nice jovial (& imo, necessary) acknowledgement of his shifting image and recent struggles. made me interested to see what comes next from him, which was likely the goal
