Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me 1999
LSC 10 Week 26 - I-Spy Week:
A friend recommended this one, and while it didn’t live up to Goldmember for me, it still got plenty of chuckles out of me.The best gag? Easily the endless names for the spaceship. Classic Austin Powers absurdity.

Predator 1987
Predator is packed with testosterone, massive triceps, and some great corny one liners before or after a kill.
It must have been mind-blowing in the 80s, especially with how smoothly it shifts from an extraction war movie to a full-blown survival horror.
Get to da chopper!!!

Godzilla 1954
LSC10 WEEK 6 - Watch a Kaiju film:
I wasn’t expecting such heavy themes from a 1954 Japanese monster movie. It’s definitely aged, but it remains a cinematic achievement.
The last 30 minutes are incredibly emotional and somber, and Serizawa’s character adds so much depth, tying the whole story together beautifully.

Blow Out 1981
Blow Out has such a cool premise, and on paper, it feels like a film I’d love, but some parts left me a bit unsatisfied.
John Travolta shines in certain scenes, playing detective and using his occupation to uncover a murder. But there are also moments where his character makes bafflingly dumb decisions, which took me out of it.
Visually, it’s bold and incredibly unique, with some standout shots and plot points. I just wish I loved it as much as everyone else seems to.
