You know it’s a good time when you have to pause, break out pens and paper & take notes multiple times. Fantastic lighting, fun editing (overdone at times though), strong performances throughout the ensemble cast (even when stifled by weaker writing). THIS IS WHAT I WANNA SEE!

Upon a second viewing, I’ve been able to dry my tears and compile a few thoughts, dear readers.
1. The depth, warmth, power, ache, joy and brilliance Cynthia Erivo brought to the role of Elphaba Thropp is beyond stunning to behold. There is no movie adaptation of Wicked without her.

4. The way Jonathon Bailey moved in Dancing Through Life is something I’m still recovering from.
