About as straightforward as a movie can be, which isn't a bad thing, just don't expect any frills or magic to it. Nothing stands out but nothing lags either. It wouldn't be complete without an epilogue of a written follow-up and real footage of the three man crew as well. Definitely not boring but nothing memorable either. The most mind-blowing thing about this whole ordeal is that Lemons survived for 29 minutes without oxygen and ended up completely fine with no effects. Science didn't even have a reason for how he survived. Divine? Hmm...

Thankfully, we have The Chosen nowadays which I’m sure satisfied the majority of those who voiced their displeasure. Crucifixion is considered the worst way…

Pretty cliché but a movie that doesn’t take itself seriously or skimp out on what people come for: violence. I like that it didn’t rely on CGI and made use of practical effects and makeup which gave the movie a more grimy feel. But I wish the big reveal of the father would’ve been an actor with a famous vampire credit to their name like a Keifer Sutherland or Chris Sarandon. Also, Kevin Durand looks like if you attempted to draw Elon Musk from memory.
