Holy shit, that was actually a good movie. I was expecting it to be slop, hence why we double featured it with the emoji movie, but it was really well made. All the jokes landed, it knew what it was and what it was doing. "Your Dad is a Hippie" - GOLD. The story arc was on par for a dreamworks kids movie. And the animation, having different styles for different aspects of the kids overactive imagination, it blew all of my expectations out of the water.
Would watch again.

One of the best super hero movies I’ve ever seen. I was flabbergasted to learn the Rock joined so they could have another cop to corrupt. And then they upped the ante by making it a GOD DAMN HEIST MOVIE. I was so worried they wouldn’t follow through on what that means - but they fucking FOLLOWED THROUGH.
