I’ve wanted to watch this movie ever since I watched a 20 minute video essay about it and let’s say it didn’t disappoint. The easy going skaters and even the way they talked was one of the most real portrayals of teenagers i’ve seen. It didn’t seem weird or even like excessively sexual (like euphoria) it was just true to nature.

This movie was the definition of loud silence. Especially in the last scene where he takes out the outer part of his implants but also all the interactions he had while in the deaf community. And the cinematography and sound design were phenomenal! I mean since it’s a movie about deafness and acceptance it makes sense for it play with sound so much but it was so jarring to mainly hear things…

Fuck man. This movie was so good, i related way to much to both Benji and David(but mostly Benji) and the scene where Benji is playing the piano while David is complaining about him was so good and I could feel it even though it’s a cliche. I wish this film had a longer ending since everything in its entirety wasn’t wrapped up but damn was it…
