idk i have such mixed feelings even months later, but the way anora is focalised is refreshing. usually the story would follow the spoiled little asshole man on his bender, but he is treated by the narrative as kinda a nobody who just fades outta her story; he's expendable in the way that women/working class ppl normally are in other stories about rich and powerful men.
