The Monkey 2025
this really worked for me, surprisingly. longlegs was a bomb for me because it felt generally too serious and didn’t define the rules of its universe well. this is the opposite, the rules are clear as day and the film knows its goal is to entertain. the sense of humor here is sardonic and on the nose, allowing it to be almost like a comic book in its story and gruesomeness
