    A film in that specific category of "Films I saw adverts for as a kind in the mid 90's and though looked exciting but I was too young to go and see it.

    Not quite as much "hanging from cliffs" as I thought there'd be to be honest. They really worked to find a way to integrate a terrorist plot into their "hanging from cliffs" movie concept.

    Saw some tweets about this recently that made me add it to the pile of films I'll probably never got round to watching... tonight I found myself looking for something to watch for Christmas Eve thinking "I'm not really in the mood for any Christmas movies." and put this on because at least it was short... then on top of being a gripping noir/horror/thriller with a wonderfully creepy lead performance... it turned out to be a Christmas Movie at the end. Absolutely perfect choice.

    I don’t know why everyone objects so much to an old man wanting to retire…

    Loved it, just some absolutely astonishing shots throughout the film, at one point I found myself panicking slightly thinking about all the logistics involved in having a group of men on their horses. Look off at a hill in the distance as two huge armies run from separate sides of the hill and converge in the middle.

    But more than anything I found myself gripped…

    I think I mainly enjoyed this for more “technical” aspects than the content, really great shots and zooms, the theme even though I know it from the Simpsons episode is always fun to hear. I like the De Palma/Hitchcockian feel to it.

    I did have some frustrations with the story though, and I hate to be “guy who looks at a film from the 90’s and complains that it isn’t very woke.” But Bowden not bringing up the victim was…
