  "I can hear a heartbeat. Yours or mine? I don't know."

  Never knew I'd find such a fitting film to that Pink Floyd song Wish You Were Here. Love/Juice is an earnest look into the fluidity and intimacy of female friendship. It is also your typical "falling-for-a-straight-girl", asymptotic almost-romance where the conclusion as we know it seems inevitable, even predictable. Shindo, however, elevates it with a keen sense of imagery and imbues the world of Kyoko and Chinatsu with a lovely albeit fragile tranquillity enshrouded by the suffocating ennui at the turn of the century.

  Also, lesbians and cameras!!
