  the rest of the movie never gets as interesting with its gender theory as it does in a single line: “i’m a man with no power, does that make me a woman?” 

  seems incapable of truly imagining a version of womanhood beyond the plastic dreams of corporate sponsor mattel (which was already making me think of greenblatt’s subversion and containment theory before ben mentioned that someone else on twitter made the same connection), but i always appreciate commitment to aesthetic

  felt super eggers, but in a slightly more mainstream form than, say, the lighthouse—willem dafoe and nicholas hoult have both never looked better, and i’m glad that eggers and yorgos lanthimos have both been able to retain partial custody of them in the divorce—🐀🐀🐀—absolutely devastated to learn on arriving at the amc that i needed to pre-order coffin popcorn bucket?? is nothing sacred in this modern world?!
