Kidman's incredible performance as a woman fixated on murdering her husband was so believable because she was married to Tom Cruise at the time.

At one point Kirsten Dunst's character says something to the effect of "just get the shot, don't think about what it means" and I feel that's the mentality Alex Garland brought to the directors chair. Civil War has no point of view nor thesis statement, and at no point manages to convey anything that even remotely resembles a cohesive thought or point.
Feels like it has a lot to say about the nature of war and American society in general but in it's cowardly attempt to remain as apolitical as possible manages to say absolutely nothing. Hate to say it but this is spineless film making.

Adventures of the Best Friend Gang

Pspspspspspsps. Hey, little traveler. The world changed around you, didn’t it? One moment, solid ground, familiar, certain. The next, nothing but water, stretching endlessly. Forever. But you kept moving, even when you didn’t know where you were going. And somehow, along the way, you found them. Strangers at first, then something more. You didn’t choose each other, but you stayed anyway. And isn’t that something? The flood took a lot, but it didn’t take everything. You still have them. You still have yourself. And maybe that’s enough.
